Wall Art on a Budget

Updated: May 26, 2020

Today I would love to share an affordable wall art idea. As you may have guessed by my blog name, I love anything coastal. When we moved into our new home in December, I knew I wanted our dining room to be comfortable, coastal and definitely not formal. I love natural elements like shells, butterflies, plants, branches, etc...

I found these papers on Amazon by Cavallini they were $39.95 for 6 prints. I used 3 of them. They have the vintage illustration style that I love and the organic feel that I was looking for.

Since these prints are 20" x 28" I knew that framing them was either going to be custom, which is very expensive, or that I would have to come up with another option. These wooden magnetic poster hangers were the perfect solution. At $19.99 each they were the most affordable way to hang art that is not a standard size while also giving the casual look I was looking for. You simply lay the art out and open the top and bottom wood piece which is magnetic inside. You line the art up and place the wood together and they're ready to hang. Very simple! Finally, I knew I had to find an attractive way to hang them from the wall. I searched for wooden hooks and these came up in my search. They were $17.89 for 3.

Wall art in this size and scale would normally be very costly. However, this project's total cost was approximately $118. Thanks for visiting! See you soon with another project.
