DIY Driftwood Frame

Hi Friends, Happy Saturday!

Lots of projects going on over here... I wanted to share a recent one I

finished. I have had this tub of driftwood in my garage for a few years now...

Every time we visit the beach I come home with bags of treasures and handfuls of

driftwood with the hope of one day being inspired to create with them. Yesterday, this idea came to me!

I have had this large frame in my basement that I purchased from Hobby Lobby a few years ago. I didn't love the pattern on it but I kept it since I knew I could probably revamp it one day. I decided to use some of the pieces of driftwood and some of my moon shells to cover the frame.

I laid out the driftwood first so I could see the size and texture of each piece. After I finalized the layout, I glued each piece down using the Aleene's Quick Dry Tacky Glue. You can purchase it here on Amazon.

After all the wood was attached, I filled in some of the small empty spaces with glue and sprinkled some sand in those spots so that the entire frame was covered.

We hung it in our dining room with my favorite picture of the kids running on the beach in LBI. Hope this project inspires you to take a walk on the beach and collect some treasures to create with!!

I love the final result! What do you think? Comment Below...
